These individuals have arrived at this point from multiple life paths but they all share an unwavering commitment to the goals of HAI Global and to the HAI mission statement, namely, a world where people live together in dignity, respect, understanding, trust, kindness, compassion, honesty and love—a world where everyone wins.

Brian Martin has been actively engaged in volunteer service since his youth, and is dedicated to leaving the world a better place. Professionally, he has been a senior leader at Fortune 200 companies for 20 years and held various executive and board level positions at several smaller companies. Brian has three adult sons, and enjoys traveling, woodworking, and motorcycling in his free time. Brian has been engaged with the Human Awareness Institute since 2008 and is currently a HAI Intern and Presenter.
Deborah Mistry is passionate about community and has been actively engaged in voluntarism in support of community engagement for more than 30 years, from her work with city Community Development Block Grant funding committees to Agile Open Space conferences to the local Parent Teacher Association. As a professional coach, speaker and workshop leader, Deborah coaches individuals to connect deeply with their passion and power in order to connect authentically in their relationships. Scott retired from a career in financial and business software design and production in 2010. He has two adult sons, and enjoys sailing, reading, and motorcycles. He was born and lived most of his life in the San Francisco Bay Area until recently moving to Portland, Oregon. He has spent much of the last 20 years engaged in personal growth work, particularly in the areas of relationship, communication, and sexuality. John Denning has spent his adult life pursuing goals aligned with HAI’s mission and vision. He joins the HAI Board of Directors with over two decades of experience in strategic planning, finance, and implementation in the healthcare industry. Romi Elan is a community builder, a dancer and a passionate lover of life. He is a global citizen who was born in Los Angeles, matured in Israel, and has traveled extensively across the globe. Julia Myers joins the HAI Board of Directors with over 20 years of Human Resources experience. She studied Human Resource Management at San Francisco State University and received an Employee Relations Certification from Cornell University. In addition, she is an experienced mediator and corporate trainer. Julia has lived in the SF Bay Area for the past 30 years and currently resides in the East Bay. Over the course of his life, John has had several careers including farming, engineering and consulting in the commercial building construction and facilities fields. He has accumulated experience in maintenance, design, operations, finance and governance. John incorporated yoga into his life in 2003 when he realized how many benefits there were from the practice and started teaching in 2009. After a recent decision to really follow his passion, John is now working full time as a yoga teacher and handyman. Eric Nagler is a concert artist, relationship coach, shop keeper and producer of the HAI Ontario region. He lives in rural Ontario, Canada with his wife and co-producer, Diana Buckley. He has been attending HAI workshops since 1995, became an intern shortly afterward and a producer in 2009. Eric leads Mini workshops and Pathways To Intimacy, and trains team and mini workshop leaders. Eric’s role on the Board of Directors is as liaison to the producer community. Jason is a facilitator for the Human Awareness Institute, and has been involved in HAI for more than 30 years. He is passionate about social justice, our global ecology, and “creating a world where everyone wins.” Jason holds a degree in philosophy from the University of California, Berkeley. His experience includes co-founding and co-directing a small non-profit organization and more than 25 years in the non-profit sector, and being the owner of two of his own small businesses as well. Jason is also an internationally acclaimed fine art photographer.

Jennifer is dedicated to making the world a better place. She uses her strategic planning, communications, collaboration, and measurement skills to bring about positive change. She joins the HAI Leadership Team with over twenty years’ experience in improving the quality and affordability of healthcare. She successfully led efforts in influencing health reform both nationally and regionally on behalf of nonprofit organizations, and most recently as an independent consultant. Janet Dale serves the Human Awareness Institute (HAI) as a senior advisor, and is affectionately known as the Heart of HAI. For more than 16 years she held key positions in HAI as the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Operations Officer. In these capacities she worked closely with the facilitators, as well as the producers of other sites around the world. Janet was also responsible for managing workshop production and other public events, overseeing website development, and supervising not only the office staff, but also a substantial volunteer group.
